Jolene is a modern, international catering company cofounded by two women - neither named Jolene - that share the conviction that every meal is an OPPORTUNITY OBLIGATION to eat well.
FRANCESCA
Jolene’s CEO, nutritionist and chef got her humble beginings pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Nutrition before creating menus and meal plans for wellness companies in Barcelona. Fusing food science and flavors from her Venezuelan and Italian culinary heritage, it wasn’t long before she was being asked to cook for private clients and catered events. Equal parts food heritage and molecular gastronomy, Francesca creates meals that feel both familiar and contemporary.
VANESSA
After nearly two decades in the restaurant and hospitality industry and several years as a designer, Vanessa overlaps gastronomy and art to coauthor many of the menus and aims to bring authenticity to each culinary experience. Her love of gastronomy was fueled by travel and the opportunities to share some of the most intimate parts of other cultures - what, how and why locals eat.
ESTABLISHED 2019
Before Jolene was Jolene, it was nutrition and meal plans and healthy catering. It was a vegan cafe and a cocktail bar and a delivery service and a take out window in 2020. It was an event space and artist gallery and a pop-up brunch spot and a kitchen collab during the pandemic. We’ve done holiday meals and birthday meals and meeting meals and racecar caterings and yacht caterings and picnics and formal sit downs and pica picas.
The one thing that keeps us going is the love of food, and what it means to bring people to share a meal.
